Sony has just announced that Minecraft will be heading to its PlayStation 4 console at launch. Originally announced as a Microsoft exclusive, it appears that the Xbox One won’t be the only console on the block with the title. At Sony’s Gamescom 2013 press conference, where the announcement was made, the company didn’t seem to want to spend more than a minute announcing the title, perhaps it didn’t really want to rub salt into an open wound.
Notch also took to Twitter to confirm that Minecraft will also be heading to the PlayStation 3 and the Vita systems. As one of the most popular titles in the world, it’s certainly a blow to Microsoft that Minecraft will be heading to its main competitor’s consoles.
