Final Fantasy Explorers has finally revealed its first gameplay footage during this morning’s Nintendo Direct which focused on third-party publisher games. During the event, Nintendo also announced that the game would be released for the 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles this winter in Japan. There was no announcement on whether or not it’ll be coming to the U.S.
Details for the upcoming title were also revealed, with Final Fantasy Explorers allowing up to four players to set out together with different job classes in order to complete quests and take down some of the series most famous monsters. Final Fantasy Explorers will allow for connectivity through local wireless for ad-hoc multiplayer, or online through Wi-Fi. Naturally, single player is also an option for gamers.
Four classes have been officially announced for Final Fantasy Explorers: Monk, Knight, Black Mage and White Mage.
