Dishonored 2 will be released on November 11, 2016 on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Bethesda has announced. The sequel to Arkane Studios’ critically acclaimed first-person action game was first revealed last year, and A world premiere of Dishonored 2 gameplay will happen during Bethesda’s 2016 E3 Showcase on June 12 starting at 7:00 PM Pacific / 10:00 PM Eastern.
The sequel will allow players to choose whether to play as Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano. Although not much has been shown about Dishonored 2 so far, Kaldwin will have unique traversal abilities such as firing out a tendril to grapple around the environment. It appears that she will also use a crossbow as a weapon and will be capable of dispatching enemies up close using a sword.
The game’s setting will also move away from Dunwall, taking players to Karnaca, where Attano was born.
“Will you make your way through the game unseen, make full use of its brutal combat system, or use a blend of both? How will you combine your character’s unique set of powers, weapons and gadgets to eliminate your enemies? The story responds to your choices, leading to intriguing outcomes, as you play through each of the game’s hand-crafted missions,” Bethesda said in a blog post.
