The Xbox Live Games with Gold June 2016 lineup has been announced and like previous months, all four games are available on the Xbox One thanks to backward compatibility. The June free lineup kicks off with Goat Simulator on Xbox One, which is available for free for the entire month so long as you have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. The Crew will be available starting June 16 until July 15 on Xbox One. For the Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backward compatibility is Super Meat Boy from June 1 to June 15, while XCOM Enemy Unknown will also head to the Xbox 360 and Xbox One from June 16 to June 30.
Goat Simulator is a next-gen goat simulation game and it plays as ridiculous as it sounds. In the game, players can crash through the world as a goat, wrecking havoc while doing epic tongue grabs to rack up points for destroying everything they see. Multiplayer allows you to compete with friends to see who can smash more things in style.
In The Crew, gamers will enjoy a revolutionary, action-driving open-world game featuring a richly detailed recreation of the United States. The online driving experience is one-of-a-kind, where you will tackle challenges across the map, infiltrate underground racing teams and defeat dangerous criminal groups.
If you haven’t heard of Super Meat Boy, you might be living under a rock. One of the greatest recent indie successes, Super Meat Boy boasts over 300 levels, epic boss fights and tons of unlockable secrets like retro warp zones.
Then there’s XCOM Enemy Unknown, a strategy game that has you fighting off aliens with a squad of custom-equipped characters with numerous upgrades, abilities and equipment. If you’re a fan of turn-based strategy games, XCOM Enemy Unknown is a must-have experience.
