Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege has been revealed during Ubisoft’s E3 2014 press conference. Six years have passed since the last Rainbow Six game, and Ubisoft ended its press conference with a bang showcasing a gameplay demo for its upcoming title. Rainbow Six Siege features team-based, 5v5 gameplay and during the gameplay demo, one team planned an infiltration of a home in order to a rescue a hostage. During that time, the other team set up traps and barricades to prevent the rescuers from achieving their goal.
It appears that players can outfit their characters to help fulfill different roles for their team, such as using a shield to protect other members of the team while in combat. In addition, one member of the team also used a drone to scope out other areas of the home to determine strategies for the team.
No platforms for Rainbow Six Siege were revealed, but the demo did showcase keyboard controls, so it’ll likely be heading to the PC. Considering the footage was pre-alpha and the game is very much in its early stages of development, platforms will be announced at a later date.
