Captain Toad Treasure Tracker Announced

Captain Toad Treasure Tracker was announced earlier this morning during Nintendo’s E3 2014 Digital Event. Captain Toad will set off on his own adventure for the very first time through a wide variety of tricky, enemy-infested, maze-like stages to find hidden gems and gold stars. Good ‘ol Toad will be equipped with nothing more than a neck scarf, backpack and oversized head lamp as he ventures to reach the end of every tricky, trap-filled stage.

Full E3 2014 Coverage

And for those that think this is just another platforming game from Nintendo, think again. Captain Toad won’t have any super powers and won’t even be able to jump, so players will have to rely on twisting the camera to reveal hidden locations and other secrets. The Wii U GamePad will offer a closer view of the dangers and hidden items in each maze and its gyro controls can be taken advantage of to peer around.
