Kirby will also be heading to the Wii U next year, Nintendo has revealed. The game will be called Kirby and the Rainbow Curse and will be released sometime next year. Players will be able to draw lines on the touch screen of the Wii U GamePad to create rainbow-colored clay ropes to help move Kirby around freely, or tap him to attack enemies or black through obstacles. Kirby transformations for the Wii U title includes a submarine, rocket and tank. This time around, Kirby will also have to go underwater where he’ll sport a swim mask – and if his power level gets too low, a clay bandage will appear on our favorite pink puffball’s head.
Instead of Yarn, Kirby will enter a world of clay for his Wii U adventure and the intuitive drawing mechanic is a spiritual successor to Kirby: Canvas Curse for the Nintendo DS.
