The upcoming Yoshi game for the Wii U now has a name: Yoshi’s Woolly World. Previously known as Yarn Yoshi, Yoshi’s Woolly World will arrive on the Wii U next year and will feature two-player multiplayer. Developed by Good-Feel, Yoshi’s Woolly World sees our favorite green dino embarking on a new adventure in a world made from yarn, cloth and textiles. Players will be able to use yarn to weave wool platforms and warp pipes to reach new areas while gleefully unravelling the world’s secrets and puzzles by pulling yarn walls apart.
There won’t be any visible Yoshi eggs in Yoshi’s Woolly World. Instead, Yoshi will be tossing balls of yarn at his enemies. Even more exciting is that two Yoshis can play at once, and players will be able to gobble friends and turn them into eggs. As part of the cooperative play, players can toss gobbled up Yoshis to hard-to-reach heights and secret depths.
Good-Feel is the same developer that created Kirby’s Epic Yarn and Yoshi’s Woolly World is under the supervision of Takashi Tezuka, producer of Yoshi’s Story and the Yoshi’s Island series.
