The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will be heading to the Wii U on March 4, 2016, Nintendo announced during its Nintendo Direct event. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was originally released for Wii and Nintendo GameCube systems in 2006 and now it has been visually remastered for the Wii U. According to Nintendo, the game will launch in a bundle that includes a detailed new amiibo figure modeled after the Wolf Link and Midna characters in the game. In addition, Twilight Princess HD will be compatible with five other amiibos from The Legend of Zelda and Super Smash Bros. series. Those that pre-order from select retailers will also get a bonus soundtrack with their game.
In related news, Nintendo also confirmed that The Legend of Zelda for Wii U is still heading to the console sometime next year as a celebration for the 30th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda series. The company also announced that certain saved data from Twilight Princess HD on the Wolf Link amiibo will carryover to the new game whenever it is released.
