Nintendo and Mercedes-Benz have teamed up once again, this time to add free content to Super Mario Maker. The German automaker has created an original Event Course in the game that will be delivered with a special costume for players to unlock at no additional charge. The course, arriving today, is called Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive, and includes a Mercedes-Benz GLA costume that shows Mario in the driver’s seat. Once players unlock it by completing the level, they can add the Mercedes-Benz GLA to their collection of Mystery Mushroom costumes.
The level is unsurprisingly automotive-themed and will take players from a dealership to a test drive through a city and eventually cruising down the autobahn.
This marks the second time Mercedes-Benz has teamed up with Nintendo after adding vehicles in Mario Kart 8. The Mercedes-Benz GLA crossover also starred in that game as a free downloadable vehicle.
“Super Mario Maker continues to grow and evolve with new courses and content,” said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others.”
