Paper Mario: Color Splash was announced during today’s Nintendo Direct event and will be heading to the Wii U console later this year. In the new action-adventure game, Paper Mario will have to bring color back to Prism Island using a special paint hammer that splashes paint on anything it hits. You will even be able to splash paint on colorless Toads to revive the poor little guys.
The Nintendo Direct also showed how the combat system will work, where players will paint cards on their GamePad before flicking them to start the battle.
The latest entry in the series comes after Paper Mario debuted on the 3DS earlier this year in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam.
