Persona 5 will be released on September 15, 2016 in Japan, Atlus has announced. The JRPG will be heading to both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles, although it’s unclear when it will be heading to the U.S. and Europe. In Japan, a Collector’s Edition was also revealed that includes an art book, a soundtrack with songs from previous Persona games and series-inspired DLC that includes outfits from Persona 3 and Persona 4. Atlus did not confirm whether a Collector’s Edition will be heading West.

The game will make an appearance at E3 2016 and it is likely that Atlus will announce a U.S. release date then. The game was originally announced for the PlayStation 3 in 2013 and had a winter 2014 release date. Since then, it has been delayed presumably to add PlayStation 4 support. At least year’s Tokyo Game Show, Atlus revealed that Persona 5 would be delayed until 2016.
