Ubisoft has announced a free trial for Watch Dogs 2 on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players will have the opportunity to check out the full experience of Watch Dogs 2 for up to three hours, with PlayStation 4 owners getting access starting January 17, while Xbox One gamers can check it out starting January 24. The free trial doesn’t hold anything back, Ubisoft promises, so players can explore a massive and dynamic open world while hacking into the city’s infrastructure, every connected device and everyone’s personal database.
To access the trial, you can download it from either the PSN store or Xbox Marketplace and you can use your three hours at any time. On the PlayStation 4, you can easily find it by choosing the “Try Free Demo” option while the Xbox One version has a “Play Trial” option. Since all features are included in the demo, that means you can join up with friends to experience the seamless online and multiplayer experience.
Those that choose to upgrade to the full game after the three hours are over will get to continue playing as normal with all progression earned carried over. It’s worth noting that achievements are not available for demos and trials on either system, but for Xbox One players, all achievements that were earned in the demo will be unlocked once you purchase the full game.
