Super Mario Run will be available on Android starting March, Nintendo of Japan revealed in a tweet. As Mario’s first official foray into mobile gaming, Super Mario Run initially launched on iOS on December 15, 2016 after debuting at an Apple event in September. On iOS, players can download the game for free and play three levels before they have to pay $9.99 to unlock the full game.
Unlike traditional Mario games, Super Mario Run can be played with only one hand, simply tapping the touchscreen to jump, while Mario runs forward on his own. The game has four modes: World Tour, Kingdom Builder, Toad Rally and Friendly Run.
Android users can pre-register for the mobile game at the Google Play Store and will be notified as soon as it’s available for download.
